Jeffrey Steiner, Certified Public Accountant
After graduating from Ohio State University in 1978 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Jeffrey Steiner worked as a staff accountant in the Miami office of Haskins & Sells, a national firm. In 1979, he received his Florida CPA license and joined Friedman & Goldstein in Plantation. With a growing and varied client base, he went out on his own a few years later and established Steiner & Company P.A., serving businesses and individuals across Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
Jeff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also testified in court as a professional expert focused on assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses, and cash flows of corporations, partnerships and individuals.
In 1994, Jeff met Cliff Gelber, CPA, through a mutual business acquaintance and the two combined their expertise. Since then, Steiner and Gelber, P.A., has been serving the unique and wide-range of accounting needs for businesses and individuals across South Florida.
Community Service
In June 2000, Jeff helped found Pharos Group LLC D/B/A, Life Skills South Florida. He is the Chief Financial Officer and was the Developer’s Representative for the construction of the new $5 million facility. (See www.lifeskills.com)
He and his wife founded The Sanctuary in Delray Beach, which is a high-end transitional living facility for men in recovery of substance abuse. It was sold in 2006 to the Crossroads Antigua Foundation, which was founded by Eric Clapton.
A co-founder of the treatment center ‘The Refuge a Healing Place,’ Jeff put together the initial funding for the project in 2003 and currently serves as a member of the board for ‘Entity’ (the center’s new name).
